Merry Christmas 2011

To be honest, I really do not have anything nice, exciting, profound or important to say. 2011 has been a financially stressful year and as a result, it has been a pretty uneventful year (which can be good or bad depending on how you look at it). It was around this time last year that Scott got laid off and he is only now going back. For how long, no one can say for sure, but the project he is working on is slated to last a couple of years I think. Fingers crossed. I myself have no interesting updates about my job. I celebrated my two-year anniversary at my company, applied for a regional manager position and failed to get it. I have yet to start paying on my student loans, instead being forced to forebear them because we've only had one income for so long. We have no health insurance and cannot afford to see a doctor to ask for help in the kid department.

Have I thoroughly depressed you yet? We'll fear not, I do bring good tidings. Despite all our hardships, we still have a house, reliable cars, and food to eat. Our two cats are still with us and are as cute as ever. And we were able to visit my family over Thanksgiving, after four LONG years. With the exception of seasonal illnesses, we are still in relatively good health as far as I know (feel) and we both are now working and have a plan to get back on track. Most importantly, we have a wonderful earthly and Heavenly family who loves us unconditionally. We have been given the most precious gift: the gift of the Atonement from our Savior, Jesus Christ. A gift that we recognize and celebrate this time of year. You really can't put a price on that.

And with that I wish you all a Merry Christmas on behalf of my little family. And if you don't celebrate Christmas, I wish you good health and posterity.
