Back Update

I am happy to say that my back is doing much better. I think that not forcing myself to get in an out of a car every day and really minimizing my up and down and walking around all week helped to speed up the process. I am still a little sore, but am to the point where I feel comfortable driving and to do my strengthening exercises. Oh, and I don't need a narcotic to help get me through the night. Yes, that is a VERY important factor. Maybe even more important than the driving factor.

I was very fortunate to have had the opportunity to work from home so as to not fall even more behind then I already am. We were inundated with orders from my client which caused me to fall a great deal behind in getting them to pass review and the final report sent out. You see, there is more content to review than the typical exterior survey and very specific sketching requirements, so I am only able to review maybe 10-12 each day, if I am lucky. This really isn't much considering we've been getting 50 plus orders in a day for several weeks now. I have two other ladies helping me, which is helping slowly but surely.

One of the nice things about being able to work from home is the ability to stream music from my favorite radio station (we're not permitted to stream music or videos at the office). On Friday, my morning radio show was broadcasting live from Disneyland, my favorite "fun" place in the whole world. As they described the comings and goings of workers around them preparing to open the park, I found myself in awe and yearning to see all the decked out halloween decorations around the park. I'll admit, I was a little jealous. I've been told that it is worth visiting the park during the Halloween and Christmas seasons at least once in one's lifetime. I also heard that they renovated the Disneyland Hotel and were talking about how fabulous it was and how some parts of it were retrofitted to reflect it's original decor back when Walt Disney himself was in charge. So of course now I am having major mouse withdrawals and really wanting to splurge and exeperience the Disneyland Hotel, knowing that it may very well be several years before I am in a position to take a full blown vacation. I probably shouldn't think about it because it gets me to thinking about my current financial status, which gets me to thinking about my potential future financial status (which at this point is not looking too promising) and then I get kind of sad. But it can't be helped, I just LOVE fantasizing about what my next trip to Disneyland will be like, complete with surprise celebrity visits and all.

I do have another option to get a little bit of a Disneyland fix. My sister and brother in-law are taking their kids to Disneyland over UEA break and I figure this is my chance to get a full updated report on all the rides, the halloween decorate and any updates that may have been done to my favorite rides. I thought that I might ask my nephew to give me detailed accounts of what rides he goes one and which characters he meets throughout the week. Oh, and I should probably make sure the sword is still in the stone because I will one day conquer it! So, if my sister in-law happens to find time to read this, I have a job for Aiden and I am requesting lots of photos to be shared upon your return, at your earliest convenience. Until then, maybe I'll go camping in the backyard just to get out of the house :P
