My "Weekend"

Today is my Saturday, which has it's advantages and disadvantages. Advantage: I can focus on doing what I need to do without the distractions of other people (Internet and TV excluded, mind you!). Disadvantage: not being able to hang with my Scotty. Advantage: running errands is a little easier. Disadvantage: not many people to talk with and again, no Scotty. At least our fall line up is starting tonight, though!

The job search has slowed down quite a bit, mostly because I am not going to leave my current entry level job for another entry level job. And unfortunately, there are just not too many mid-level positions available. I'm still putting in maybe 3 resumes a week, but I have a feeling it will be a slow-going process.

In the meantime, I am going to be beginning my fifth week of training and will soon be taking calls, which I am really no where near ready to do quite frankly. I can only hope that I get the uber complicated calls during my "nesting" period so that I can learn those while I'm still on a flat hourly rate salary. Once I transition to the floor, I go onto a piece rate compensation plan, which is affected by my call time, quality, and first call resolution amongst other things. This could be a fun job if I get the hang of it. My shift is not as unfortunate as I anticipated. Instead of having to work 3 pm - 12 am, I will be working from 6 am - 2:30 pm, Wednesday through Sunday.

All in all, things are going OK. It kind of stinks being so poor that we never go out, but what can you do, right? I may have enough $$ to scrape up a dollar movie, though...just saying!
