The Job Search

In more optimistic news, I had an interview yesterday with Diamond Line Trucking for a customer service/data entry position. It's a small, yet successful company that has offices in the mountain west region of Colorado (I think) and Idaho. They provide shipping services for all sorts of companies such as RC Willey, tile companies, and such. It would provide a casual atmosphere and I would mainly be helping out the other branches with coordinating shipping and scheduling shipments along with occassionally assisting customers over the phone. Most correspondence is done through email, I guess. It's only 35 hours a week right now and would require working every other Sunday, but the hours are early enough so that I could schedule doctor's appointments in the afternoon and not have to worry about taking off work for most appointments. They also offer a vacation package and medical and vision, 100% paid for the employee. I think that I would feel very good in accepting that position. And even though it would be taking a pay cut, it is a lot closer to home.

I also have two interviews scheduled tomorrow. One in the morning is with the Utah Educational Saving Plan and the other is in the afternoon for ACS, a business processing outsource company that provides customer care for various employers. The UESP position, I think, would be a better fit for my experience and school training. I guess we'll see what happens. Wish me luck!
