Happy Easter

Spring is my favorite time of year; the pretty colors blooming in the yards of residents and businesses, the longer days, near perfect weather allowing for flip flops and maybe a light jacket in the mornings. Nothing beats waking up to the warm, cozy sun peeking through my blinds, hearing the early morning chirps of the birds, and enjoying nice fresh air on my way to and from work. I can even tolerate Utah's fickle wannabe winter weather in between. *Happy sigh*. Allergy season is slowly but surely creeping up on me and this will be the season to evaluate how well my allergy shots have worked. I already know that they have made a huge difference with my cats, now for the grass, weed, and pollen. But perhaps the most important reason, lest we all forget, is celebrating the resurrection of our brother and Savior, Jesus Christ. For without him, I would not be here and my life would have no purpose. In an existence that I don't remember, but very much believe in, I was presented a plan which I eagerly embraced, a plan that included coming to earth and being born unto earthly parents who would help me with the early part of my journey and plant the seed that continues to grow in my adult life today. A plan, that if I follow whole-heartedly and faithfully, can allow me to return to my Heavenly Father again someday and be with my family forever. It doesn't get any better than this, my friends. The hardest part is living in today's world of diverse ethnic, racial, and relgious communities; learning how to live in the world without being of the world. The hardest part is forgiving, not only others, but ourselves when we make mistakes. And we all will make mistakes. More than once. The hardest part is humbling ourselves like a little child and acknowledging that we can do better. Clearing these hurdles will open up numerous doors and opportunities to clear more. And more. And more. The only way one can move forward is by moving their feet. Happy Easter!
