Procrastinators unite, I have a cold. Or a virus. Or a sinus infection. Something. And boy, does it sure stink! Of course I wait until the end of flu season to get sick because that's how I roll.
Friday, I woke up with a sore throat. Being the strategic planner I am, I decided I was going to be proactive with the sinus rinse, gargling w/warm salt water, and bulking up on vitamin C and antioxidants. My plan blew up in my face because next thing I know, I'm waking up Saturday with a runny/stuffy nose, light cough, and mild fever. I'm now in full nurse Krissy mode and order myself a full weekend of rest and relaxation complete with bundled clothing, blankets, and lots of fluids. My fever broke sometime Sunday night as I slept, so I decide to perservere a new day at work. And just like all trials in life, things must get a little worse before they get better. Did I mention that this convenient cold-virus-sinus infection-or-something came right after we lost our health coverage? Anyway, affter a long grueling day of being a trooper at work, I just want to curl up in a fetal position when I get home, but instead force myself to go over endless tweakings of our budget to see if I can magically make enough money to cover health coverage through my company. And as many of you know, I do not like any type of math.
Ok, I feel better now. Feel free to bring the empathy full force, I don't mind. Now I must go back to my non-medicated remedy of endless Disney and Nickelodean movies. Cheers.
