I'm sorry for the really long periods in between posts. It's not so much being busy as it is just not feeling the desire to write. Perhaps this is because of school and report overload. Or perhaps it is because I am lazy. Whatever the reason, here is an update.
My sister, Jenny, came up from California over her birthday weekend, which was the week of November 12. I treated both of us to the New Kids on the Block concert (yes, I said it!) and we had a blast. We were about 16 rows from the main stage at the E-Center in West Valley City. This may not seem close to some of you, but I was able to get some great pictures zoomed in on my camera! After 15 years, those boys still "got the right stuff!".
While Jenny was down, I also took her to visit Grandma and Grandpa's graves in Centerville. This was the first year we didn't have to dig them out, the weather was awesome. I also took her to my office and gave her the tour since the last time she was up was when we were still at the old Board building. She enjoyed our REALTOR® Store and found a rider that she considered for her halloween costume next year. She also helped me babysit the kids and Aiden was very excited to have a new friend to play with.
That Sunday, we made a birthday dinner for her and Scott (Scott's birthday was November 18); we made chicken and mushroom crepes for Jenny and green bean casserole with marinated cucumbers for Scott (thanks for the recipe mom in-law!). Later that night, Jenny flew back and I started back up on all the homework I had put off that week.
