This year was our year to spend Thanksgiving with the Baker-Hymas family. Lynnae and Kenzie were both sick, but Scott and I still headed over for Thanksgiving dinner anyway. And, thankfully, we both managed to avoid that illness (although we're not quite sure how we did that). Rich prepared a wonderful turkey and Lynnae baked our favorite Rhodes rolls. Irene prepared mouth-watering side dishes that included Scott's favorite: green bean casserole, marshmellow yams, corn, stuffing, and cranberry sauce (there may have been more, but that was all I was able to eat!). For desert later, we each selected from pumpkin pie and apple pie.
As usual, I got to wear myself out playing with Kenzie and Aiden for awhile while Scott played Rook with Terry, Irene, and Rich. Later, Irene, Scott, and I played Phase 10. When we left later that evening, Scott and I relaxed and watched a few of our movies that we received that week from netflix.
Friday was spent Christmas shopping on eBay and working on homework. Scott took me to see Twilight, which I was not disappointed with. Scott was pretty bored through most of it, but that is to be expected for those who have not read the book or are not into stories such as that one. None the less, he was sweet to take me. It was nice having a four-day weekend and I look forward to the next one for Christmas.
