Kidsfest 2008

Scott and I went with Lynnae, Rich and the kids to the annual Kidsfest carnival at Wheeler Farm. It is a charity carnival that my company puts on every year to raise money for the children at the Christmas Box House. Rich and Lynnae bought a lot of tickets expecting Aiden to use them on all the fun blow-up slides, but he was a little apprehensive about them being so bouncy and ended up not wanting to go on anything. They managed to find a fishing booth and rocket builder and launcher booth that he was excited to do. So, I bought the rest of the tickets from Lynnae and bought myself a $7 dip 'n' dots (mint chocolate chip). Best spent $7 because (1) they are just yummy and (2) 55% of the proceeds also went to the Christmas Box House. I don't mind spending a little extra money when it is for a good cause. There was also a classic car show that Scott and I enjoyed. I have some great pictures of the cars and of Aiden sitting in the fire department truck, but unfortunately, I have misplaced my USB cable to my camera and have no way of retrieving them. I may break down and buy another one even though I know that I'll find it as soon as I do that. Oh well, can't hurt to have back-ups, right? I ended up getting a really bad headache toward the end of the carnival which quickly escalated into a migraine that doesn't seem to want to go away. Really bad timing considering I have a lot of homework to try and get done. Scott and I are also planning on hanging out with our friend Kevin and his new girlfriend tonight. Looking forward to getting out and socializing with another adult! (because we all know that Kevin and Scott do not count as adults!, ha, ha).
