Fourth of July Weekend

There is no better way to kick off a holiday weekend than by taking the day before off, which is what Kristen did after working a couple of late nights at the office. Since Scott had to work on Thursday, she did what she does best, enjoyed watching movies that she knew Scott wouldn't want to watch and relaxed. There was still homework to be done, but there was more time to spread it out.

Friday, Scott and I slept in and watched television and played Phase 10. We went over to the Baker-Hymas house and had a dinner BBQ to celebrate Independence Day and Terry's birthday. We played a round of Phase 10 with the Baker parents and then enjoyed some sandbox time with Kenzie and Aiden. After dinner, we had hot fudge sundaes and topped off the night with a movie: I'm David.

Today (Saturday) felt like Sunday, but it is exciting and relieving to know that we both still have an extra day before resuming our normal work week activities. Poor Scott ate too much at dinner last night and found himself up all night being sick, which also kept Kristen up too. So, needless to say, we both slept in pretty late. Scott went shooting with Terry and Rich while Kristen stayed home for a couple of hours, once again, enjoying her time alone. She re-downloaded some Xbox games and had them ready when Scott got home. They played a few rounds of pool and golf.

Tomorrow will be homework catch-up day for Kristen as she nears the end of her five-week semester for her Integrating Business Class. With Tuesday comes Employment Law. Not sure what Scott will do, perhaps help Kristen with homework? Yeah...probably not!
