Scott's job on the NSA Data Center project has ended and he has re-entered the unemployment line. As of this date, there are about 180 people on the Union's unemployed list. Not very promising, but I'm also not sure of what projects are lined up this summer. He has made good use of his time at home though, working on some fix-it items and household chores. I am still plugging away at work, trying to get in as many hours as allowed and that I can possibly stand, although this weekend was a bust as far as overtime goes.
My brother, Alex, and his fiancé are living back in California and expecting their first child, a boy. This will be the first grandchild on the Blackburn side (although if you ask my mom, she'll never admit to being old enough to be a grandmother). Jenny is changing her work schedule slightly and is excited to have some more ideal days off. Marty is working selling mattresses, if anybody is in need.
Our cats are doing well, but have decided that they no longer like their probiotic with their food and haven't been eating. I guess this is how we'll get them to loose those five pounds that the vet requested. I just need to figure out how much to cut back so that I can reduce the amount of food wasted, their diet is not cheap!
