Date Day

Saturday was perfect, not too cold, not too hot and very, very sunny. So, I decided it would be our date day, a chance to get out of the house. We don't get out very often, partially because of lack of funding and partially because of crappy weather (apparently spring doesn't mean anything in Utah). We started off with a trip to Costco for groceries. Well, Scott wanted to window shop the electronics section and I decided that I would pick up a few items while I was there. 90 some odd dollars later, we decided to pick up some Papa Murphy's pizzas on our way home and have that for lunch. One really cannot go wrong with a Papa Murphy's pizza. After our bellies were full, we drove out to Jodan Landing and used our movies passes that my parents graciously gave us to see Pirates of the Carribean: On Stranger Tides. Much better than the last one, for sure. We love movies, so it's only fitting that my cute parents send us movie passes (complete with treat giftcard) on holidays; I elected to have a coke flavored icee and Scott had an overpriced bottle of water. So, thank you mommy and daddy! While we were waiting for the seating to open for the movie, we walked around Jordan Landing and found ourselves making our way toward Deseret Book. Scott had been telling me about a Gerald Lund book called The Alliance that his mom had read to them years ago and he thought that I might like it. So, we treated ourselves to a paperback book. And I say "we" because Scott is going to re-read it too. We here the Baker household believe in sharing.

We came back home and kind of just hung out the rest of the evening. Each chance I got when I was home, I opened up the windows to cool down the house instead of using the central air. I love being able to cool down and light up the house naturally (although my allergies do fight me at times). So, while our weekend may not sound glamorous and fun-packed as some might have hoped for, it was just right for me and my sweetie, Scotty-my-hottie and really, that's all that matters. *Happy sigh*

Sounds nice. I'll have to get Rich to take me to the movie, and, the Alliance really is a fun read. Hope you enjoy it.

Nae, when Rich is able to take you to a movie, you know who to call for a babysitter (hint, it starts with the letter K and rhymes with Prissy)
