Friday marked my third annual 29th birthday (yes folks, that's right, I'm 31. Yikes!). Do I feel any different? No, not really except that I suppose I have to try and grow up soon...nah! Friday was pretty much a standard day: I worked, came home, played some Guitar Hero, and watched Blue Bloods & CSI New York. Saturday I did nothing, or at least I can't remember doing anything significant besides grocery shopping. Saturday afternoon Scott took me to The Cheesecake Factory, which was awesome. I'd only been there once and that was a couple of years ago. Scott liked the food and the cheesecake (of course), but he didn't like all the noise and the drive. And I could have done without the swelled bill, but hey, I figure I'm worth it at least once a year, so there you go. Sunday afternoon I went to dinner at my in-laws and had shrimp scampi and root beer floats. I always ask for shrimp scampi because one, it's just yummy, and two, it's the only time of year that I get seafood. I got a nice sweater from mama and papa Baker that will help keep me warm at work (even in the summer, they keep the temperature at blizzard level) and a pumpkin patch flavored wallflower air freshener. And Scott got me a 12 quart stockpot, which I was very excited to try out for my Zuppe Toscana (I'm a really messy cook and this will help!). We did watch a couple of movies Sunday afternoon and evening before calling it a night. Oh, and Scott got the downstairs bathroom tiled. Next step is vanity, toilet, and mirror. It was a very nice weekend.
