Back to the Grind

The first day back after a long weekend is always expected to be the longest day of the week, but to my pleasant surprise, it went by quickly and I was not completely overwhelmed with reports to review and send out. I was expecting to have to work 10-hour days to catch up, but this may not end up being the case...phew! The commute home; however, was not so desirable. I left the office at 5:10 pm and got caught in uber traffic while entering westbound SR 201. Conveniently, I did not hear the report on the accident that backed up that state road for several miles until after I passed the "accident" (and I use the word accident very loosely). So, it took me almost an hour to get home and that combined with the uber hot weather and my a/c barely cutting it, I was not a happy camper when I got home. After awhile, I motivated myself into doing some picking up around the house. That didn't last long because Scott's radar went off and he begged me to spend time with him. And we all know what happens when Krissy sits down...she stays down! So much for productivity. Now I'll have to get to work early so that I have time to finish tidying up before my visiting teachers come by tomorrow evening. What can I do to keep Scott occupied long enough to get that done? Anyone?
