The Weekend is Here!

This week was pretty slow at work overall, but this afternoon sure did wipe that all away! We only had one small class that went most of the day and the phones were quiet up until lunch time, so I took advantage of the downtime and finished my section of our final group project for school that is due on Monday. I was hoping that the afternoon would continue to be slow so that I could start on my individual paper (my goal is to have it completed by Sunday so that I can have time to edit and post early evening on Monday), but that turned out not to be the case. We had a gentleman come in to complete an online ethics course using the member computers that he is required to take and he ran into a lot of problems. But bless his heart, he endured most of the day before he had to call it quits because of a late afternoon commitment. He'll be back sometime Monday morning to finish up. The rest of the afternoon was spent fielding membership calls because today was the final day to pay dues before offices get turned off (and require that members repay the $350 entry fee), so naturally, many people waited until the last minute to phone in and when they couldn't get a hold of membership, we were next on the automated menu. I kind of got a little bit of anxiety over it because I hate not knowing if I will not be able to return all my calls (it's something that I'm kind of anal about). So, at 5:00 pm, I took great pleasure in not answering a call that was coming in (that's what you get for procrastinating).

Although I have homework, I am looking forward an uneventful weekend.
