Scott's grandmother passed away Thursday morning. He, his sister, and their parents decided to drive down to California to be with the rest of the family. At that point, nobody was sure if there would be any kind of a service, but they all still felt the need to go down. I, unfortunately, was not able to go as I was the only one in the department that day; coincidently, my co-worker had to leave for Colorado Wednesday night for a funeral. So, here I am, all by myself, doing what I normally do, but without having my better half around. I have to admit that I don't like it, especially at night. And I haven't really had a productive weekend. Aside from showering and getting dressed, I did manage to get the bare minimum amount of homework completed and just watched movies and played on the Net all day while managing to squeeze in a nap too. Do I feel bad? Not really. I have a four-day weekend, so I think I'm entitled to enjoy it. I'm on some new medication for my stomach problems that makes me drowsy when I take it at night and leaves me groggy for most of the next day and by the end of the work week, I'm spent. Besides, I do my best work under pressure...that is one good thing about procrastination!
